About me

I'm a researcher and filmmaker interested in how we experience, interpret, and express the world around us. I graduated from Cornell University in 2026 with a B.S. in Computer Science.

My films explore how larger social and political questions translate into intimate stories of family, love, identity, and human relationships. I'm especially interested in how people navigate cultural and societal change, negotiate their sense of self and belonging, and seek to understand one another and their place in the world.

I'm also an HCI researcher advised by Professor Qian Yang. My research explores how emerging technologies reshape creative practices, particularly the evolving relationships between humans and technology. I'm interested in how intelligent systems can support human agency and craftsmanship through experimentation, iteration, and artistic judgment.

My favorite quote comes from a Q&A for Brokeback Mountain:

“Don’t let emotions
go to waste.”

In theaters, at festivals.

Outside of research, you can most likely find me in theaters or at film festivals. My favorite theater is Metrograph in the Lower East Side, Manhattan.

I also make games for fun.

Sweet Sweet Betrayal is a chaotic multiplayer mobile party runner built with C++ / CUGL. It won the Gameplay Award at Cornell’s 2025 GDIAC Showcase.

I also made S.A.M.S.A., a 2D escort platformer built in Java / LibGDX.
